We celebrate our children. We hope they are sensitive and strong, smart and funny, insightful and thoughtful and creative and independent. As a parent, we spend our lives praying that the job we do helps them to turn out to be the best that they can be, and sometimes they surpass our wildest dreams with their sensitivity and respect by the age of 11.
Zoey Hess, an 11-year old 5th Grader at The Shlenker School, has done just that, and I’m sure her parents couldn’t be prouder, because she just became a published author. Her book, The Birthday of An Angel, just launched on May 14, 2015.
