What is a Summer Camp?
A summer camp is a supervised program for children and teenagers conducted during the summer months in some countries. It is a special type of community where kids and teenagers gather together to have fun. The children and teenagers who attend these summer camps are called campers.
The traditional view of a summer camp was a woody area with activities such as hiking and canoeing. However, it has evolved, and new summer camps have come up that offer various specialized activities. Each summer camp is different, but if you talk to camp staff, parents or campers, there are common themes that will come up as benefits of the summer camp.
There are different types of summer camps, and each of them will have a distinct mission. You will need to understand your goals for the summer camp experience to narrow down the type of camp best for your kid. Some of them include Single Sex Camps, Academic, Specialty, Arts& Sports, Residential, All-Around, and Day camps. Dive in to know the best Houston summer camps from different categories.
