7 Reasons To Visit Seismique Interactive Art Museum In Houston

Sesmique art museum was opened on Dec 26 2020 in Houston’s far west side, it was transformed from a Bed, Bath & Beyond retail into a 40,000-square-foot sci-fi playground.

The founder and CEO Steve Kopelman is a futuristic masterpiece. He has worked in the art and design field for over 40 years and has experimented with the construction of haunted houses and escape rooms. This explains why he was the CEO and principal of the national Escape the Room chain. He used all of his artistic skills to create the magnificent Seismique Interactive art Museum.

Though the building’s turquoise exterior and cheery, colorful signage give visitors a hint as to what they can expect inside, the maze of more than 30 dreamy rooms powered by technological marvels, the glitz of more than 9 million programmed LEDs, and the creative efforts of about 50 artists still shock the senses.

Seismique will take visitors of all ages to a new, unexpected universe of artistic inspiration. The fundamental goal of the galaxy is to give an incredible amount of enjoyment while also igniting curiosity, amazement, and imagination.

1. Stunning Views

Seismique art museum projections
Seismique’s guide Sara Ludwig, 36, stands surrounded by projections that change to the beat of music, Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, in Houston.

There are 9 million LED lights, more than 100 projectors, and immersive features created by 65 artists and craftspeople inside the 40 galleries. The Seismique mobile app offers an option for navigating this intriguing area and is accessible on Apple and Android smartphones. The app has a map of the building that you can use to manage the lighting and sounds in various rooms.

Who doesn’t love pictures? There were so many different rooms, colors, and lighting options making it a great place to take pictures

The young and old alike will enjoy this event, even those who are over 100 years old! Everyone can find something to appreciate.

2. Perfect Spot For Kids

In the Acid Rain room, green LED lights beam down onto streams of water streaming from the ceiling, revealing one dry path around the room’s edge—or, if you’re feeling bold, through the center.

The enormous rope basket is a favorite among many children. Families with young children should be aware that there is nothing to stop you from getting wet if you stray off the (purposefully) hard-to-see path. Most children come out wet. Decide whether to keep them out of the room, which is secured by a door and has a staff member inside, or to dress them in clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting wet (and carry a towel with you).

Strollers are not allowed inside, and there is no stroller parking on site.

3. Great Spot For Romantic Dates

In a variety of ways, students learn. To enhance students’ thorough grasp of STEAM principles and their practical applications in life, they engage students through a variety of learning pathways including project-based, hands-on learning.

By doing this, kids cultivate curiosity in a variety of fields and discover that STEAM ideas are vital to how our world functions. Through project-based learning and real-world examples of how Seismique designers constructed their works of art there, students are also introduced to the application of STEAM concepts.
