In addition to the numerous official NFL events going on around town leading up to the Super Bowl, many other businesses and venues also want to get in on the excitement and fun surrounding the big game. There will be no shortage of attractions to check out in the coming weeks, so we’ve laid out some of the unique and exciting Houston Super Bowl events for your below.
Houston Super Bowl Events
On Saturday, February 4th a huge brunch party will be taking place from 11 am to 4 pm at a currently undisclosed location. Tickets are $30 at the door or $10 in advance if you buy them before January 25th.
The Biggest Super Bowl Watch Party
The Ballroom at Bayou Place is boasting one of the biggest Houston Super Bowl events and it is called the Biggest Super Bowl Watch Party. It starts at 2:30 on game day at 500 Texas Ave. and promises celebrity DJs, special surprise guests, and even NFL players in attendance. You can watch the game on one of their many big screen TVs, check out the sweet city views from one of their balconies, or even enjoy a nice hookah. Entry is only $25, but if you are looking to have a slightly upgraded experience they also offer two VIP packages: one for 7 people at $650 (approximately $93 per person), this includes one bottle or one for 15 people at $1,300 (about $87 per person) that consist of two bottles.
Media Kickoff Party for Super Bowl Media Week
NFL alumni and talk show host ND Kalu will be hosting the Media Kickoff Party for Super Bowl Media Week along with other NFL, media, and celebrity guests. For the most part this event is invite-only; however, a limited number of tickets will be available for purchase for $100 in advance or $150 at the door. The event will be held at Ecurie25 Supercar Club City Centre and will require fancy attire. Tickets include free drinks, cigars, and hors d’oeuvres.
Super Bowl LI: Art Edition
Sponsored by Bellaire Rose, Super Bowl LI: Art Edition will be held at The House Lounge on Washington Avenue and will include many local artists and entertainment. This is one of the Houston Super Bowl events that starts on Thursday, February 2nd at 7 pm wth a reverse happy hour, and the DJ will keep the party going all the way until 2 am. Best of all, it is free to RSVP.
“Just the Truth Super Bowl Extravaganza”
On Friday, February 3rd from 9 pm to 2 am Hotel Zaza in the Museum District will be hosting a red carpet benefit for HIV and Aids. Tickets are $250, and the event promises celebrity entertainment, pro-athletes, and other celebrity guests.
Glitz and Gridiron Party
The Glitz and Gridiron fashion show and party will be taking place at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum during Super Bowl Weekend. Beginning at 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 2nd and going until Sunday, February 5th at 3 am. This is one the multi-day Houston Super Bowl events and will showcase local boutiques and designers while focusing on sports, fashion, and music. Special guest NFL players and celebrities will also be in attendance. Tickets to the fashion show start at $40, while $75 will get you into the show and party. Various tiers of GA and VIP combinations go up in price from there, letting guests choose their optimal experience. Party tickets include a two-hour top shelf open bar from 9-11pm, and after 11 it turns into a cash bar with $5 wells and $8 premiums.
