The Rosenberg Railroad Museum is in the historic district and sits alongside four active railroad tracks. This is the place to go if you want to learn more about Rosenberg’s history.

Step inside the museum, and you’ll be transported back to the days when railroads were laying track in Texas’ Fort Bend County. Walking through the museum, filled with hundreds of artifacts such as control panels, uniforms, and even a telephone switchboard, is something every railroad enthusiast should do.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children aged 2 to 14. Military personnel, first responders, and seniors 55 and older pay $6 to enter.

The Black Cowboy Museum is a heritage museum dedicated to preserving African-American cowboys’ legacy for future generations to enjoy. 3. Seabourne Creek Nature Park

The park is a 164-acre nature preserve on Hiway 36, just south of the city center.The park has a 4-acre fishing pond with Catfish, Trout, and Perch, as well as several turtle species. Bring a picnic lunch and sit by the lake to watch the ducks, birds, and turtles while listening to nature’s sounds.

An entire area is dedicated to the development of hummingbirds, prairie birds, bees, and butterflies in the park, which is sure to please bird watchers. The history of the George Ranch Historical Park began in 1824 when Texas was still a part of Mexico. The first settlers in Texas settled near the Brazos River. This working ranch encompasses over 20,000 acres. The park is divided into four historical periods: the 1830s, the 1860s, the 1890s, and the 1930s.
